All matters must rely on oneself, and changing one's destiny relies even more on oneself. Everything requires perseverance, everything requires endurance, and everything requires one's best effort. There are no natural strong individuals in this world; the strong are forged through trials. If a person wants to achieve something, they must compete with opponents and surpass them. Competing with the weak may offer a high chance of victory, but it is difficult to become a true strong person. Only by competing with the strong can one continuously expand their sphere of survival and become a truly strong individual.
No matter how much fame and glory one has, it is just a blank sheet of paper; no matter how much wealth and privilege one possesses, none can be taken away. We come into the world empty-handed and leave empty-handed. The hardships and complexities of the journey are merely a legend. When we close our eyes, everything will be wiped away. We are destined to be ordinary people, so ordinary that no one will remember us. Life begins with the brilliance of dawn and ends with the gloom of dusk. We wander through the mortal world in a daze, leaving behind a few meaningful or meaningless reflections for later generations, and how many of them will cheer for your life?
Lao Tzu said: "Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; Mastering yourself is true power." A person who can understand others and discern people with keen eyes is clever, but one who can recognize and understand themselves is truly wise. One who can defeat others is a powerful warrior, but one who can defeat themselves is a true strong person.
Life is a song, chanting the rhythm and melody of existence; life is a path, extending the footprints and hopes of a person; life is a cup of wine, containing the purity and sorrow of life; life is a ball of hemp, interweaving the troubles and joys of life; life is a picture, depicting the red, green, and blue of life experiences; life is a bundle of fire, burning with the aspirations and dreams of life. In life, one must learn to enjoy: enjoy the joy of work, enjoy the laughter of friends, enjoy the warmth of family, enjoy the comfort of creation, and enjoy the sweetness of fruits.
