Sometimes, I find myself sitting by the windowsill, smiling foolishly to myself, lost in thoughts of the past. Hehe, the past can never return. The present, too, will one day become the past. Perhaps on some day in the future, I will sit here again, reminiscing about this very moment. There is so much reluctance to let go, unwillingness to part with every minute and second of now, and with every person around me...
Deep down, I fear loss. Time always flows swiftly, and every passerby in life repeats the cycle of arriving and departing. We know full well that separation is inevitable, yet we still cannot bear to part. Yes, it is merely a matter of timing; once determined, it cannot be changed. But why does everything always come and go? If they have come, why must they leave? Perhaps this is precisely where the preciousness of life lies! I console myself by saying "everything is up to fate," but what is fate? If there is true destiny, those who come would not leave. Those who leave simply mean the bond has ended. Hehe, this is nothing but a foolish self-deception.
What is missed will never come back... I am increasingly coming to understand the meaning of these words and gradually learning to cherish. Yet, thinking about it differently, what good does cherishing do? What must come will come, and what must go will go... But what matters is the process, isn't it? Do not let every person who enters your life leave with regrets. Hold onto this beauty, and do not wait until it is lost to realize its value...
When cherishing becomes a habit, those who depart may become the most beautiful memories.
