Time always flows swiftly. Unknowingly, we have reached the most enviable age in life—between 17 and 18 years old. This is the golden period when we can release the light of our youth fully and with boundless vitality. At this stage, we are at the threshold of transitioning from adolescence to young adulthood, from children to adults. We possess a bit more maturity and thoughtfulness than children, yet retain a touch of the innocence and playfulness of youth. With such personality advantages, shouldn't we cherish our youth and value these days that pass like flowing water?
However, some students do not understand the value of cherishing their youth. They constantly have phrases like "I'm so tired, I don't want to live" on their lips, and they spend all day sighing to the sky, "Why is time passing so slowly!"
Today, fights and suicide incidents on campus are no longer rare, which clearly indicates how some students take their lives lightly.
When remarks such as "What do you need 24 hours for? 12 hours are enough: 8 for sleep, 4 for eating. Isn't that great?" spread across the campus and are even treated as classics, does this not suggest that there is a significant problem with students' perception of time?
Don't you find this terrifying? At an age that should be full of vigor and energy, we actually find life boring and time too long.
"Wasting time is the same as harming others' lives." Millions of people have regretted wasting their years, only to end up with "white hair in youth, empty sorrow." We may not fully realize this yet, but when we do, it will likely be too late; the lost time will never return. To avoid regret in the future, please cherish your time now!
Cherishing time is cherishing life. Youth lasts only a few years in our lifetime, but it happens only once. Once it is gone, it is never to be had again.
Time always flows. Regardless of what we think or do, we should be worthy of the beautiful youth before us and should not waste every minute or second of the time that rushes by day and night. Let us cherish our youth and look forward together: tomorrow will be better!
