The flavors of life, whether sweet, sour, bitter, or spicy, must be tasted by oneself. Through the twists and turns of life's journey, we come to understand the warmth and coldness of the world, as well as its hardships. Only by experiencing all these flavors can we truly comprehend the myriad phenomena of existence, ultimately reaching a state of "laughing without words, for it is all just so." Life is often compared to a boundless sea of suffering; what do people desperately chase after? It is merely the black smoke of karma, which brings illness and pain. Yet, in the vast ocean of humanity, how many can truly let go of such attachments?
If one has something, one has everything; if one is poor, one is poor in every way.
In the course of life, we encounter all kinds of people. As we navigate through this complex human world, we realize how insignificant we are, so small that no one notices our presence. When there is no light or sunshine, loneliness becomes overwhelming.
External storms will eventually cease, but how can the storms within us find peace? "Dependent on causes and conditions, there is nothing solid; like a lamp in the wind, like bubbles in water." Relying on a transient world, like a flower in a mirror or a moon in the water, cannot settle our minds and bodies. When you complain about the muddy path after the rain, why not look up at the starry sky, which is illuminating the road ahead for you? Beyond the material necessities of life, such as clothing and food, we also need spiritual fulfillment. This allows us to expand our mental horizon and elevate our spiritual world.
You stand in the center of the lake; I sit on the shore. Each has their own place, their own direction of gaze. You look at the shore and see my scenery; I look at the water and see your reflection. We quietly immerse ourselves, foolishly observing. You sit on the wheelchair; I follow beside it. Each recalls their own past, their own memories. You recall the taste of admiring flowers and grass; I recall the sweetness and bitterness of shared joys and sorrows. We slowly savor the memories, enjoying them deeply.
