Life requires both romance and realism. A life devoid of romance is bound to be flawed: people tend to be indecisive and anxious, hesitating to love when they should, and carrying a lingering sense of regret into their twilight years. Conversely, a life detached from reality can become desolate. When one falls from the clouds of dreams to the dust of reality, they often end up exhausted in body and scarred in spirit.
Life is neither long nor short; it depends on how we choose to act out our roles. I believe that with diligent effort, even a supporting character can eventually become the lead. In this cruel and realistic society, survival of the fittest is the norm. If one does not strive hard to live and fight, they risk being eliminated by society at any moment.
Many things are only truly understood after they have been experienced. Love is no exception: only after feeling pain do we learn to protect ourselves; only after being foolish do we learn the balance between persistence and letting go. Through gains and losses, we come to know ourselves better. In fact, life does not need unnecessary obsessions; nothing is truly impossible to let go of. Learning to release makes life easier.
Do not constantly be dissatisfied with others; instead, reflect on yourself. Complaining about others only brings suffering to yourself.
We do not grow old simply because of age; we grow old when we abandon our ideals. Age may age the skin, but giving up enthusiasm ages the soul.
Life is like tea. The period of prime youth may be the bitterest time, while the sweetness that truly reaches the heart often comes in old age.
