In this world, many people can derive profound life philosophies from tiny creatures like grass or animals. This summer, while flying a kite in an open field near my grandmother's house, I also gained a valuable lesson.
After lunch, my father and I went to a wide, flat area near the orchard to fly a kite. I held the handle while my father managed the kite from behind. Our kite was magnificent—a "shark" design. It had a daunting, wide-open mouth and a long steel tail sweeping behind it. Its majestic eyes looked like those of a grand marshal inspecting his soldiers. I thought to myself, "This 'Marshal Shark' will surely draw many cheers when it takes to the sky!"
"One, two, three, let it go!" I shouted excitedly. With a gust of wind, my "Marshal Shark" soared into the sky, but it quickly tumbled back down. I tried several more times, but each attempt failed, leaving me on the verge of tears. "Don't worry," my father said, patting my shoulder. "You can't rush kite flying. When the kite is about to lift off, you need to run fast; and when it starts to fall, you must run even harder to catch the wind. That's how it stays up."
"Okay, Dad, let's try one more time!" My fighting spirit was rekindled. "One, two, three, let it go!" The "Marshal Shark" ascended once more, but it looked like it was falling again. I immediately dashed forward with all my might. Success! The kite flew high again. Watching the majestic "Marshal Shark" soaring in the sky, I realized a profound truth: we must not fear failure. We should stand up wherever we fall. Once you give up, there is no hope left; but if you persist, you will eventually reach the shores of success!
