God gave Mike a task: to take a snail for a walk. However, the snail moved far too slowly. Mike urged, threatened, and scolded it, but the snail only looked at him with apologetic eyes, as if saying, "I am doing my best!"
Frustrated and impatient, Mike pulled and even kicked the snail. Injured, the snail slowed down even more. Mike wanted to abandon it, but feared he wouldn't be able to answer to God. Eventually, he had to calm his temper, letting the snail crawl slowly while he followed at a near-still pace. At that moment, Mike suddenly caught the scent of flowers and realized they were in a garden. Then, he heard the chirping of birds and insects and felt the soothing touch of a gentle breeze. Later, he witnessed a beautiful sunset, a brilliant twilight, and a sky full of stars. It was then that Mike realized God's ingenious intention: "He didn't ask me to take the snail for a walk; He asked the snail to take me for a walk!"
Reflection: Occasionally, if you take a walk at a snail's pace, you will surely discover much beauty that you usually overlook. Life should not be a constant rush, for doing so will cause you to miss many wonderful things.
