31. Life is like a road; it seems long, but when you reach the end, you realize it was actually quite short.
32. Impatience reveals our lack of cultivation, while silence demonstrates our taste.
33. Do not hate anyone, for hatred only tortures yourself. It is not worth trading your happiness for the right to hate. As long as you have your own space, your own stage, and those you love and who love you, that is enough. Do not be hard on yourself, do not dwell on the opinions of others; keep happiness in your palm and learn to love and cherish yourself. Often, it is not that others are cold-blooded, but that this is simply the nature of the world—and we are often the same in the eyes of others.
34. The greatest enemy is oneself; once you conquer yourself, dawn will soon arrive. Believe in yourself; there is no obstacle you cannot overcome, no bridge you cannot cross, and no river you cannot wade through. Dreams must be realized by your own hands! The root of unhappiness lies in excessive calculation; possessing something does not guarantee happiness. A narrow mind breeds troubles, while a broad mind brings abundance of wisdom.
35. Only by bidding farewell to the old can we encounter the right.
36. What can you become? The only limitation is the framework in your mind. The external world is a constant reflection of your inner world; to improve your external circumstances, you must work on changing your inner self.
37. Aside from tears, only time can wash everything away. Let emotions flow with time; the longer it passes, the lighter the conflicts become, much like tea being continuously diluted.
38. Love can dissolve the barriers of language, and affection can bridge the divides between nations.
39. People often mistake those who are unkind to them as enemies, but the greatest enemy in life is not others—it is ourselves. External enemies are easy to understand and defend against, whereas it is difficult to truly know, understand, and control oneself.
40. Thinking of you brings a sense of happiness, yet a happiness tinged with sadness.
41. Success in life certainly includes fame, but being famous is not the sole definition of success. There is no absolute "first" in this world; as long as you strive to surpass yourself, you will eventually have the last laugh. If you only strive for fame because you fear being inferior to others, the world would never have produced great figures generation after generation.
42. If others are always right and I am always wrong, I will have fewer troubles.
43. With righteous thoughts, fortune follows; with wrongful thoughts, misfortune arrives.
44. Milarepa said: "To stay away from hatred brings peace; to abandon pride and jealousy brings peace; to dwell in equality among all things brings peace; to observe the mind with the mind brings peace; in the peaceful realm of non-dual wisdom, there is peace; in the natural peace of one's true nature, there is peace. This peace is my joy, and there are many such joys, requiring no worldly pleasures!"
45. Those who only chase fame and fortune without knowing how to enjoy life suffer the greatest exhaustion. Unfortunately, most people in the world spend their waking moments desperately pursuing desires, leaving only a tiny fraction of time to seek the true meaning of life.
