1. The world does not always conform to our imaginations. Sometimes, mountains are the stories of water, and clouds are the stories of the wind; sometimes, stars are not merely stories of the night, and emotions are not just stories of love. Many people drift apart as they walk through life, many things fade as they are witnessed, many dreams break as they are dreamt, and many tears dry as they flow. Life is, by nature, a vast sea of change; looking back, the shifting temperaments of the world manifest as the bittersweet essence of existence.
2. One either understands life as a play, or mistakenly sees life as a play. A stage set within fire and water, a performance of struggle and suffering. As one finishes singing, another takes the stage; this has continued for millennia—the heavens and earth as a single stage. Humans are the protagonists, and all things are but props. We act out vivid plots, often forgetting our true selves. Through hard work and the cycle of performances, we all hope for a perfect final curtain call.
3. Whether for a nation or an individual, we must learn how to be a person of character. As long as one possesses a conscience and unyielding integrity, customers will come without the need for advertising. For conscience is the best selling point, and integrity is the finest business card.
4. Life is but a few short years before we all depart this world. When the time comes, no matter how luxurious or enjoyable our lives were, we will still be buried beneath a mound of yellow earth, eventually decaying and consumed by worms. A century later, no one will remember your achievements or the life you enjoyed; the only thing people can truly remember is what you left behind during your lifetime.
5. Some are destined to wait, while others are destined to be waited for. No matter how beautiful a thing is, if you cannot achieve it, you must let it go; no matter how much you long for someone, if they do not belong to you, you must leave. Every life has its flaws. The truest happiness is nothing more than a cup of water, a piece of bread, a bed, and a pair of hands that hold yours tightly through every storm.
6. No matter how deep the affection or how strong the bond, friendships will eventually fade when separated by vast distances. This does not mean hearts have changed or that you are no longer friends; it is simply that being far apart means joys and sorrows can no longer be shared. It turns out we have become so distant that only greetings remain—but greetings are still good, at least they prove we have not forgotten each other.
7. Whatever we do, we should possess the spirit of "drawing the sword." No matter how difficult the task or how powerful the opponent, we must draw our swords and commit ourselves fully.
8. The greatest tragedy is not losing too much yesterday, but being immersed in yesterday's sorrow. The greatest folly is not failing to see a trap before you, but falling into the same one a second time. The greatest loneliness is not waiting for someone who hasn't arrived, but realizing that person has already left your heart.
9. The path of the play is like flowing water, seamless from beginning to end. Through countless twists and turns, the true nature remains unchanged, eventually returning to the sea. Every step is a scene, every turn a change of mask, mysterious and profound. When sincerity flows naturally, every gesture becomes a graceful performance. Once the curtain rises, no actors remain on the ground.
10. If a businessman prioritizes conscience, his business is bound to thrive, for no one rejects a person who trades with integrity. Such honest dealings bring peace of mind, flourishing business, and a steady stream of wealth.

Believe you are blessed, but do not pursue it obsessively; believe you are strong, but do not reject tears; believe there are good people, but be wary of the bad; believe money brings happiness, but do not spend your whole life chasing it; believe in sincerity, but do not condemn all hypocrisy; believe in success, but do not flee from failure; believe in fate, but do not wait blindly; believe in love, but do not demand perfection; believe in God, but do not forget to lock your door.
12. Frustration often comes from the misalignment of time. When you are young, you have time to travel and play but face social pressures to succeed; by midlife, you have the money but lack the time. Regrets are often an inevitable part of moving through these different stages of life.
13. Life is full of encounters: some are mere brush-ins, others are etched into the soul. Sometimes we see but cannot perceive, and sometimes we remember only to forget. Whether meeting the wrong person at the right time or the right person at the wrong time, every encounter is a tempering of the soul.
14. Marriage is meant to be managed; life is meant for growth; wisdom is meant for soaring; tears are meant for strengthening; years are meant for reminiscing; and happiness is meant to be cherished. While the passing years may age our faces, experience remains an invaluable wealth in life.
15. Some scars on the hand become mere memories once healed; some scars on the heart, no matter how light, remain forever. Some people are close to us yet remain strangers for a lifetime. There is always a certain pain in life that feels unbearable, and some regrets are destined to be carried forever. Even as emotions shatter around us, those cracks remain when we look back in our twilight years.

When sad, give yourself a smile—that is grace; when suffering a loss, give yourself a smile—that is composure; when failing, give yourself a smile—that is confidence; when misunderstood, give yourself a smile—that is magnanimity; when helpless, give yourself a smile—that is optimism; when in pain, give yourself a smile—that is liberation. A true hero is not someone without tears, but someone who runs forward with a smile even through their tears!
17. As time flows, the good will eventually be forgotten, and the bad will be cast into corners; even deep sorrow is but a fleeting dream. What we can do now is find a quiet place to reflect, to understand how to prevent losing those we cherish, and how to draw strength and experience from our past to continue walking forward toward what we love and what is right.

It takes courage to ask for directions; it takes courage to strive in a strange land; it takes courage to give your first speech; it takes courage to say those three words to a loved one; it takes courage to challenge limits and realize your potential. Every "first" requires courage, and facing a formidable foe requires even more.
19. On this journey of life, how far we travel, what scenery we see, and whom we encounter are all beyond our control. All we can do is to not abandon our choices and not live with regret after letting go. May your heart be like a lotus, fragrant in every petal.
