1. Letting go is gaining, and imperfection is completeness. We may fail to remember scriptures through countless hours of study, yet at the moment of enlightenment, they become unforgettable. Many believe that profound Zen lies in a single thought: in a drop of water, in a flower, or within this swirling world.
2. To have everything is to have abundance; to have nothing is to be utterly destitute.
3. A person without honor is better off dead.
4. When a gentle woman becomes fierce, it is often because her man has failed her, forcing her to step up. When a pure and noble woman becomes vulgar, it is often because the man's caliber is low. Conversely, when an ordinary woman becomes charming, bright-eyed, and graceful, it is surely due to a good man. Therefore, men should realize: half of a woman's beauty is your credit, and half of her ugliness is your fault.
5. Some things are better left unsaid, for speaking doesn't guarantee being heard, and saying them doesn't guarantee being understood. Those who don't understand you are not worth explaining to; those who do understand you require no words at all. What people need is not much—perhaps a shoulder during exhaustion, sympathy during grievance, or a moment of surrender after vulnerability. Once suppression is released, the heart brightens; once emotional knots are untied, the soul finds freedom.
6. It is better to conquer with a smile than to attack with a sword. While sharp words and cold faces possess a daunting power, they cannot shatter the deep ice within the human heart. A smile, however, uses its soft strength to melt the snow and ice, blending the confidence of the strong with the wisdom of the sage to win over the world.
7. Although we know life is like a play and time is ruthless, everyone plays the protagonist in their own life drama, while others are merely supporting characters. Everyone strives to play their role well. However, whether your life is a tragedy, a comedy, or a farce is not entirely in your hands. After all, you are merely an actor, not the director, and you may not even know who the director is. This is the fundamental difference between life's drama and any other play.
8. Do not over-expect, and do not indulge in illusions. In the journey of life, time is the most equitable resource. We are both the spectators and the scenery. I am grateful for everyone who has entered my life; regardless of our intersections, we are all etched in time. Time may age our faces and temper our moods, and while it blurs our memories, it also remembers us.
9. I am least skilled at holding on, yet so many people choose to leave. In this life, I do not seek smooth sailing, only a companion through the hardships. If it is a one-sided affection, one must accept the outcome. Let us skip the grand theories and simply strive to be together. Whether in total defeat or rising to glory, I love you. Everything in the world is dull, except for you. For a lifetime, I wish only to please one person.
10. Do not fear pressure, for it can elevate your life; do not avoid busyness, for it can fuel your hope; do not reject the cold, for it can build your energy. Do not indulge in complacency, as it is often the beginning of failure; do not succumb to temptation, as it is often the prelude to downfall. Growth depends not just on time, but on diligence and effort. Wasted time not only extinguishes the fire of dreams but also pieces together a fragmented destiny.
11. No one can escape loneliness. Your thoughts and experiences make you both the director and the sole audience of your own life. Throughout a lifetime, even with a companion, loneliness remains inescapable. The world is full of those seeking spiritual solace; ambiguity, infatuation, and self-sacrifice are all products of loneliness. If one can live peacefully with solitude, explore the inner voice, and hold onto one's aspirations, one can find the true self and spiritual tranquility.
12. Life is inherently colorful, and existence is inherently flavorful. Yet, sometimes, when reflecting quietly, one realizes that simplicity and ordinariness might be the highest form of fragrance. Only after experiencing hardships and mud, and facing life with a calm heart, can we truly understand it.
13. To miss someone does not require hearing their voice. In fact, hearing them might change everything. Imagination is often slightly more beautiful than reality, and the person in your thoughts is often warmer than they are in person. Longing seems distant, yet sometimes it feels closer than reality itself.
14. When you are sad, crouch down and embrace yourself. Forgive yourself and let yourself go. Why suffer so much to forget someone? Time will naturally allow you to move on. If time cannot help you forget those who should not be remembered, what meaning would our lost years have?
15. Meeting is the beginning of fate, understanding is the continuation of fate, and staying together is the destiny of fate.
