81. Do not worry about whether you can succeed; since you have chosen the distant path, march through the wind and rain. Do not worry about the cold wind and rain behind you; since you are heading toward the horizon, all you leave for the world is your resolute silhouette.
82. Life is short; do not waste your time on people you dislike.
83. Life is like a dream, both illusory and fleeting, yet the journey is so long. Many people appear in our lives—some are merely passing travelers, while others... Perhaps I am also a passing traveler in your life? But you are not passersby to me; you are people I cherish and cannot forget. Some paths in life must be walked alone, for no one can accompany another forever. Thus, I have learned to become a solitary wolf, yet I keep an invisible diary in my heart. After the great changes of time, will anyone still remember Shang Yue?
84. Life is like a pendulum, swinging between pain and boredom, driven by desire. When we crave, we suffer; when we are satisfied, we grow weary; happiness is but momentary.
85. Learn to know without speaking, to avoid the pitfalls of excessive words; learn self-liberation to achieve self-transcendence; learn to think quietly to maintain clarity; learn to observe the world with your heart to see the true essence of things; learn to let go, for only by letting go can one begin anew; learn gratitude, for a grateful heart helps us find hope in adversity and joy in pessimism.
86. In doing so, one will live without guilt, heartache, or regret.
87. Maintain a proper and serious attitude toward work; no detail should be overlooked. Preparation must be meticulous and sufficient; remember, a tiny error can lead to a massive failure.
88. See what others cannot see to do what others cannot do. Paying attention to detail is essential for personal development. Remember: the spirit is revealed in the details.
89. When first interacting with others, one should proactively offer sincere affection rather than waiting to receive it. Surely, sincere giving will eventually bring abundant rewards.
90. Leaders should value the concerns of the masses, and ordinary people should be willing to listen to and adopt the opinions of others. Only in this way can one continuously progress and win support.
91. Never negate others, for different circles and different stances lead to different understandings and answers. Nothing is absolutely right or wrong; there are only rules and interests.
92. Faced with the complexity of the world and human relationships, one may occasionally feel lost. As Bing Xin once said, "If you are simple, the world will be simple." Instead of complaining, embrace simplicity. Let equanimity replace conflict and worry; face gains and losses with self-reliance and confidence; and let the path of life, like a river hitting a reef, create beautiful splashes and lead to bright prospects.
93. Wisdom dispels trouble, and compassion has no enemies. If one acts with great compassion and takes a step back, the world becomes vast. If you empathize with others and understand the necessity of all things, troubles will vanish. To act like a ghost is to be a ghost; to act like a human is to be a human; to act like a Buddha is to be a Buddha.
94. "Ego" is the shackle that binds us to suffering; when the ego is let go, true liberation and freedom are right before us.
95. A person of "no-self" has transcended hatred, ignorance, jealousy, and obsession. They enjoy true happiness, for the pains of the world cannot harm a "no-self" being.
96. Behind the phrase "let nature take its course" lie untold despairs and ungivings, if only you understood.
97. The days you love are the most beautiful days; the way of living that suits you is the best way of living.
98. A life without love is like a wilderness. Giving roses brings fragrance to your own hands. "To learn to love others is, in fact, to love yourself." Let love warm every heart like the afternoon sun.
99. I have lost, I have failed, and I have been hurt, but I have never been afraid.
