12. I also long to stay by your side, to offer comfort when you are sad; to pretend to be angry and scold you when you are drunk, only to gently take you home; and to witness the helplessness and heartache you face when confronted by so many impossibilities.
13. One should maintain a kind heart. For some, kindness may seem small, like a dewdrop on a leaf tip, yet it can nourish a flower and let it bloom beautifully. Kindness is like a thatched hut; though it may be old and worn, it provides a safe night for a weary and helpless traveler. Kindness is like a bridge of the heart; though it may not be wide, it can connect long-separated strangers and their hopes. To possess a kind soul is to possess a springtime that quietly warms those lives encountering hardship and injury. Throughout life, everyone may face misfortune, and every soul in distress longs for the care of another kind life.
14. We do not fear high and distant goals, but rather the lack of courage, passion, and perseverance to pursue them. If we march forward unswervingly, we will be surprised to find that many so-called distant lands are not actually far away.
15. Do not wear sorrow on your face, and do not let indifference hang from your lips. Life is brief; let passion be the main melody of your existence.
16. Only those things with true value are worth choosing. But you must know that the most valuable things often cannot be measured by price.
17. Misfortune brings us trials, which forge a strong character. Failure brings us enlightenment, opening the first door to our success.
18. An honest person is not necessarily reliable, but a reliable person is surely honest.
19. Accepting charity is not the mark of a strong character; only the weak seek the benevolence of others.
20. Whether familiar or unfamiliar, everyone has their own goals and directions. Some are searching for a certain lack from childhood, while others seek a certain hope for the future. Some run tirelessly, while others find a chance to rest before embarking on their journey once more. Some stop to face the unknown. Along the way, one might catch up to some, surpass others, run alongside others, or sometimes find oneself running alone.
21. If time is like flowing sand, it pulls the slightly tipsy me into a vortex—circles within circles, points within points—until the dream breaks and I awaken in sudden realization.
22. The prosperity of mountains and rivers fades into a single withered song. Writing of blooming flowers, flowers remain flawless; writing of life's dreams, partings fall. This love is three parts heaven, seven parts tears; holding hands to the end of the world, etched in the soul for three lifetimes. Speaking of the Jianghu, observing the Jianghu; the Jianghu is a path of no return, and life may lose its way. Winds wither, the sea of clouds persists; a parting at the brow, smiling at the past once more. The lamp's imagery is cold, people waste away in vain; life and death in one moment, fame and obscurity in another. Ask not, for life remains; loneliness is a mistake. Born into this world, life is unending; the night breaks the heart, people are desolate, the wind wanders. It is born of tears, it is a shallow dream; three parts, three parts, a song of red makeup, only at the brow, circling three parts of the world; tears of right and wrong, waiting for right and wrong, holding hands in the night to speak of desolation.
