1. Gradually, you will realize that happiness often comes from memories, while pain often stems from the gap between memory and reality.
2. Value stillness in the heart, frugality in desire, agility in thought, diligence in learning, sincerity in friendship, devotion in emotion, purpose in poverty, benevolence in wealth, brevity in speech, moderation in joy, patience in anger, and health in the body.
3. Time may not prove everything, but it certainly reveals everything. A leaf, through seasons and rain, teaches us the essence of life; an emotion, from nothingness to existence and back, lets us feel the sweetness and bitterness of love. Time makes us live more clearly, purifies the heart, and refines love. Cherish what you have and strive for what you seek, for as long as we live, everything must continue.
4. Instead of worrying about the future, work hard in the present. On this path, only struggle can provide security. Do not easily entrust your dreams to others, nor care too much about the whispers around you, for the future is yours, and only you can provide yourself with the greatest sense of security. Do not forget the promises you made to yourself or the places you wish to go, no matter how difficult or far they may be.
5. Others may not know how excellent you are, because most people do not care. If you are truly outstanding, it may even become a reason for others' jealousy. People can tolerate mediocrity, but they struggle to accept excellence. The more exceptional one is, the more likely they are to face envy and attacks. Therefore, when under pressure, do not let yourself sink into mediocrity. For jealousy is, in essence, a form of looking up.
6. The mind (rather than the soul or spirit) is an entity that distinguishes animals from plants on a biological level. Regarding the human mind, it is born with the individual's life. The mind has its own components and functions, much like the brain, but they are not the same visible material substance, nor is the mind merely a function of the brain. Just like the body, the mind has its own laws of growth and development, although it may not always reach maturity under the influence of various factors.
7. Do not live too tiredly, and do not be too busy. If you want to eat, do not worry about the cost; if you want to wear something, do not call it a waste. If you are frustrated, meet with friends; if you are sleepy, just sleep. A peaceful mindset is always the most beautiful; being happy every day is what truly matters.
8. Progress: "Virtue" can be accumulated. Do not let a moment go to waste and step firmly at every pace; do not let good thoughts cease and do good deeds every day; use profound methods constantly and share the joy; only then can you create a valuable life.
9. Dreams exist in three levels: low, medium, and high. The standard for measuring a dream is: dreams that benefit only the individual are small, those that benefit family and friends are medium, and those that benefit the world are large. The harvest of one's life depends on the scale of one's aspirations.
10. A wise friend will not force a friend to choose between themselves and profit, but will strive to create mutual benefits. Only foolish people test the human nature of others, only to end up with mutual loss.
11. Meeting is the beginning of fate, understanding is the continuation of fate, and staying together is the determination of fate.
12. Success is the process of an individual setting valuable goals in advance and gradually turning them into reality.
13. The most effective capital is our reputation; it works for us twenty-four hours a day.
14. Novelty is the soul of art, and beauty is the life of art.
15. In life and work, it is better to endure the suspicion and slander of petty people than to be misled by their sweet words; it is better to endure the criticism and reprimand of gentlemen than to be coddled by their magnanimity.
