1. Reaching middle age requires more than just 'enlightenment.' It is an age of responsibility, with aging parents to care for and young children to raise. With parents on one side and children on the other, one worries about family health, child development, career success, and financial pressures. Amidst the vicissitudes of life, tell yourself: a happy life consists of half clarity in action and half tolerance in understanding.
2. Do not let professional setbacks affect your family, and do not let domestic disputes interfere with your career. Men should learn to shoulder responsibility, swallow their tears, and truly become pillars of both their careers and their homes.
3. Beware of life's three reefs: self-satisfaction, arrogance, and gullibility; observe life's three prohibitions: lust, conflict, and greed; loathe three things: lying, badmouthing, and elitism; and cultivate three virtues: profound knowledge, disciplined thinking, and noble character!
4. The journey of life is not always smooth; adversity and disappointment often accompany us. However, the brilliance of humanity shines brightest in times of hardship, and hope serves as the invisible force driving us forward.
5. Only a kite flying against the wind can soar higher. It is only through the trials of adversity that we learn courage and appreciation on our life's journey. Life is not as terrifying as we imagine. Facing adversity, believe in yourself and believe that you can achieve what others can. If you fall, get back up. Smile at life, and you will find that it is not that there is no sunshine, but rather that our sorrows have blocked it.
6. Life does not need to be perfect. Do not let yourself become unhappy because you failed to reach a certain goal; setting goals is meant to make life fulfilling, and as long as you have strived toward them, there is no need for regret. We cannot change reality; we live through our mindset. Life does not require perfection.
7. Whether male or female, being isolated in a single trait leads to a one-sided nature; only through their combination can they form a complete humanity. If masculinity is strength and femininity is gentleness, then strength without gentleness becomes brittle, and gentleness without strength becomes weak. True resilience lies in the balance of both.
8. Only after walking the path do we realize its length. We are often too busy—so busy that we have no time to feel life or enjoy happiness. If we spend a lifetime striving only to please the world, we ultimately end up wounding our own souls. Be more open-minded and let things go; in life, few things are more important than happiness.
9. Do not easily give up on what belongs to you, lest you be left with regret and remorse; do not blindly pursue what is not meant for you, and protect your self-confidence and dignity. True friends are natural and easy; no matter how long you have been apart, you reunite without awkwardness, remaining your true selves—laughing together in joy and feeling deeply for each other's sorrows.
10. Cultivation means using wisdom to create beauty. No one makes you troubled; suffering often stems from one's own lack of wisdom and cultivation. If you only face situations with a single mindset or from a single perspective, you will inevitably encounter imperfection. Take responsibility and learn to think from multiple dimensions.
11. When water flows through a pipe, it takes the shape of that pipe; when the spring of life flows through you, your life takes the shape of your thoughts.
