Being able to recognize your own flaws as accurately as you see the flaws of others will make your life extraordinary.
The true desires in life are simple: a family of three, both parents alive, a manageable job, decent income, and a stable life. When times are peaceful, the poor seek wealth while the rich pursue simplicity; those without careers strive hard, while those with careers often want to retreat. Everyone desires different things, but after experiencing life's ups and downs, you realize that living each day safely and peacefully is the best life.
Socrates once said: "A poisonous spider injects its venom only when it touches a person, but 'youthful beauty' is even more dangerous. It does not require contact; just a glance can make one obsessed. Therefore, I advise you, when you see a beautiful person, run away as fast as you can."
Although you live in the present, you constantly dwell on the past and worry about the future; carrying past, future, and present together makes life sluggish. Simply living in the now, the present is actually beyond right or wrong, true or false: without right or wrong, there's no need to overthink; without true or false, there's no need to dwell or worry. Isn’t that like dreaming? Yes, just execute your life as if it were a dream.
Leave a sense of composure for yourself, and you can calmly handle unpleasant matters; accept gains and losses naturally. Understand that not every opportunity is meant for you; life always involves gains and losses, successes and failures. The boat of life floats naturally between them.
