Pastor Will Bowen of the Christian Church Alliance in Kansas City, Missouri, introduced the “World Without Complaints” movement using a small purple wristband symbolizing transformation and change. In just two years, this initiative attracted active participation from 6 million people across 80 countries. How did his story begin?
In the summer of 2006, when Pastor Bowen was looking for a suitable small item for the church's “Summer Reading Club,” he had a spontaneous idea: encourage attendees to wear a wristband and try to go 21 consecutive days without complaining, criticizing, or gossiping. Whenever they noticed themselves complaining, they would switch the wristband to the other hand and start over. At first, Bowen constantly switched the wristband from one hand to the other, nearly exhausting himself, realizing that this was no simple task. Nearly a month later, he managed to go three days without complaining and eventually completed the 21-day challenge. His success acted like a stone thrown into water, creating ripples that inspired church members and spread the influence further.
Recently, the “World Without Complaints” movement arrived in China along with the book “A Complaint-Free World.” When you see someone wearing a purple wristband, it signifies their commitment to 21 days without complaining, criticizing, or gossiping. Want to attract positive energy and break free from the negativity of complaints? Join the “World Without Complaints” movement and embrace a better lifestyle—a truly complaint-free world!
