Solon, the famous Greek orator and statesman, after examining various civilizations in his old age, returned to Athens and told the Greeks: "I have carefully examined all the ancient civilizations that have disappeared. Among the civilizations still living in this world, I cannot say which is older—the Egyptians, the Persians, the Phoenicians... However, amidst the continuous rise and fall of all these ancient civilizations, I have discovered an unchanging law: a civilization grows and expands because it nurtures a strong imperial ideal and a desire for conquest within itself. As individuals in human society, everyone's life should be filled with the passion for struggle, charging bravely toward their life goals and constantly replenishing the motivation for their inner desires; otherwise, they will be extinguished in the tide of society.
Confidence is one of the cornerstones of personal character. A person without confidence can achieve nothing. However, confidence belongs to the spiritual realm. Spiritual things cannot be proven by oneself, just as civilization and freedom cannot be self-proven. In human affairs, things can only be self-confirmed through cognition and action. Only through the process of repeated victories can an individual prove and understand themselves, gaining that precious confidence—a law ordained by the divine for humanity.
When a person loses the desire to fight, they begin to descend into self-deprecation and decay, which marks the onset of personal decline. Current status and wealth cannot prevent the inevitable slide into a disadvantageous position, for Victory belongs to yesterday.
