During my college years, I once cycled alone across half of China. The journey was exhausting but also deeply joyful. In my junior year, I was diagnosed with tuberculosis and spent half a year in the hospital. After being discharged, I still had six months before returning to school, and I did not know what to do, so I decided to travel by bicycle to different places.
Some mornings I would set off immediately after waking up. I often felt extremely tired after only a short distance, but according to my schedule, I had to reach a destination every day. Even when I did not want to continue, I had no choice but to keep riding. Each time I arrived at a destination through sheer willpower, I felt a strong sense of pride.
At every stop, the scenery would unfold before me, and then I would head toward the next destination. Life should be about constantly moving forward, pursuing more beautiful sights and unknown experiences ahead. The more hardship you endure along the way, the greater the joy you feel upon reaching your destination.
