Developing perseverance and endurance is an essential path to success for everyone. Compared to comfortable environments, challenging conditions offer greater benefits for personal growth and health. Scientists have conducted numerous experiments on this topic. For example, a report described an experiment where scientists placed mice in two different environments: one was very comfortable, where the mice ate well and rested; the other was relatively harsh, with limited food consisting mostly of coarse grains. The results showed that mice in the harsher environment, despite not being fully fed, were extremely healthy because they had to move around to find food, increasing their exercise. Conversely, the pampered mice in the comfortable environment became overweight and eventually developed heart disease or high blood pressure. Drawing a parallel to humans, enduring a challenging environment may be tough in the short term, but in the long run, the benefits we reap far outweigh the hardships endured.
