In this life, when the wind comes, listen to the wind; when the rain falls, watch the rain. When there is love, love; when there is none, wait calmly. Observe the world with a peaceful heart, do good deeds, and remain optimistic.
Only by repaying harm with virtue can all grievances truly be resolved. Influence others with morality and do not harbor resentment, for revenge can never turn enemies into friends.
It is often lamented that in society, many factors are required to create so-called perfection. Thoughts can sometimes be exhausting and aging, born from the sorrow of unfulfilled vanity and the struggle between reality and ambition. Calmness, however, acts like a soothing balm. Moderation in anger and desire preserves health; exercise and balanced diet strengthen the body; natural ease relieves mental burden; self-cultivation governs behavior; restraint and tranquility benefit family life; diligence and hard work build one's career.
Without ambition in youth, life is largely wasted; with ambition in youth, one may still strive forward; with firm ambition in middle age, opportunities must not be missed; in old age, letting go of ambition allows one to write and enjoy a transcendent life.
Nothing in the world is ever truly perfect, and neither is life. It is precisely because of imperfection that we have pursuit and meaning in existence.
As the saying goes, no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. In daily life, people inevitably err due to carelessness. If we cling to others' faults, we only appear overly harsh ourselves. Learning to forgive others is the best way to ease conflicts.
Much of life is about endurance. We give, yet cannot always indulge every desire. Relationships as light as water bring joy when meeting and lingering warmth after parting; that is already enough.
Everyone we meet and everything we experience has its own meaning.
