When facing hardships, we may feel intense pain and even want to give up. However, we will endure. No matter how tearful, helpless, or lost we feel at the beginning, time remains the best medicine to heal all hidden wounds.
While those who bring flowers during our success are worth remembering, we must never forget those who weep with us in adversity. Juvenal said: "Conscience is like an invisible whip, striking us anytime, anywhere, acting as our executioner."
Pain is unavoidable, but suffering is a choice. Life is in your own hands. Only when you choose a joyful life rather than a tense one will you have the motivation, determination, and endurance to achieve your goals. The person who appears at the right time may not be the right person; the person who appears at the wrong time may not be the wrong person. "Right" or "wrong" might just be meaningless sighs or even mere excuses. When you are right, time will be right too.
Cultivation refers to a person's character, morality, temperament, and understanding of life—a level achieved through training and development. In today's fast-paced, competitive society and materialistic world, how can we guard our hearts, cultivate our virtues, and become people of character? How can we settle our souls, reflect in calmness, and practice self-discipline? Some people have many opportunities to meet, yet they always make excuses; by the time they truly want to meet, the opportunity has passed.
One need not demand too much from everything: if it comes, let it come; if something happens, do not frown; if one smiles, let it be; do not force results—just do it. Life is simple; once the mind is calm, everything becomes peaceful.
