To love means not only to be loved but also to have the ability to actively love others and the world; having things to do makes each day fulfilling. Tasks have no size, the key is whether you love doing them; having expectations brings hope to life. People do not fear humility, but they do fear losing hope.
Optimistic people see a world full of sunlight, while pessimistic people see darkness; optimistic people experience immense joy in life, while pessimistic people feel only a hint of sadness. Do not make excuses for failure, as it may undermine your confidence; instead, seek solutions to generate strength.
Life is not easy for anyone, and everyone sheds tears living in the world. Even when facing setbacks and injustice, do not give up easily. Even if physically or emotionally hurt, avoid deliberate revenge. Giving up signifies surrender, and revenge reflects lingering resentment. Life is not meant for confrontation, and human existence is not meant for struggle. Treat others as you wish to be treated to understand them; exchange feelings with feelings to gain insight. Understanding brings peace of mind, and tolerance brings serenity. Life has joys and sorrows, gains and losses, wins and defeats. Hurting others should never hurt your family, losing anything should never cost true affection, and losing in life should never compromise your conscience.
How to read others through their eyes: if someone looks away first upon meeting, they seek a position of advantage; if someone immediately averts their gaze when being watched, it often indicates insecurity or a flaw; if one glances at the opposite sex and then deliberately looks away, it shows strong interest; a sidelong glance indicates great interest without wanting to reveal it.
The distance between reality and ideals is eternal; even a lifetime may not bridge it. Ideals are beautiful, but reality can be harsh. Rather than striving to cross this gap, it is better to understand yourself and find your own path in life. Young people should strive for beautiful dreams, but avoid becoming trapped in painful or unrealistic pursuits. Recognizing yourself and finding a life suited to you is far more important.
