The most eternal happiness in this world is mediocrity, and the most lasting possession in life is cherishing what we have. Every tree's growth requires both sunlight and the endurance of wind and rain. Those who criticize you are your enemies today and friends tomorrow; those who flatter you are your friends today and enemies tomorrow. Living for oneself is base, living for the opinions of others is insignificant, and living for the happiness of others is noble. Love can be romantic, but do not waste it; do not hold hands lightly, and even less, do not let go lightly. Seek high aspirations, make moderate connections, and enjoy modest blessings; stand in high places, sit in level places, and walk in wide paths. There is a kind of fate that becomes a beautiful scenery once let go; there is a kind of sincerity that only shows through persistence. Happiness is a mindset, not a state of being. In this world, there is only smoothness, never perfection. A person who does not bathe will not smell fragrant even with perfume; reputation and dignity stem from true talent and knowledge; those with virtue are naturally fragrant. When attending different dinners: with classmates, be casual as family; with friends, be generous as hosts; in meetings with leaders, be cautious as strangers; when hosting leaders, be respectful as servants; and when being hosted, be polite as guests. Wise people manage their health, sensible people store their health, ordinary people do not understand health, and foolish people neglect their health. Without financial independence, one lacks self-respect; without intellectual independence, one lacks autonomy; and without personal independence, one lacks self-confidence. Throughout life, one must constantly clear the dust from the soul through self-reflection, self-enlightenment, and self-respect.
