Petals fill the void, plucking fragments of eternal scenery; a faint fragrance drifts, woven into a shuttered window, resting quietly in the heart. Bathing in a room of stillness, tending to a pillar of incense, bowing the head to contemplate the passing years. Silence becomes a cup to drink the morning's coolness. Time ebbs and flows, even when hidden, it never leaves the mind's awareness, swirling within light and shadow. Morning dew clings with crystalline light; a lowered gaze holds jade-like beauty; tender emotions drift, swaying gently in the wind.
A wise person always sees problems from more perspectives than the average person.
When geniuses or wise individuals step through the threshold of life, their thoughts attempt to spread their wings, caressing poetry with their gaze and incubating poetry with their eyes. Yet, upon encountering the hard obstacles of reality, these poetic eggs shatter. For most people, when the feet of reality touch the ground, they crush the mysterious egg that would otherwise have never hatched.
A human life is like a lit lamp, destined eventually to go out. Death is not a punishment from God, but a gift from fate. Just as we need sleep, we also need death. It is the dark backdrop of death that highlights the brilliance of life. If life were infinite and death non-existent, what meaning would living have? Thus, death is not to be feared; it is merely the long sleep of life. Before this sleep, we should cherish every day and contemplate what we truly pursue: is it material desires, fame and fortune, or the clarity and tranquility of the soul?
The meaning of life lies in perfect enlightenment—to truly know one's true self, to accept things as they come without resistance, to let go without attachment, and to find freedom in letting go. Worry narrows the world; resentment turns everyone into an enemy; sorrow binds the self; anger brings great foes. One should cultivate the heart with emptiness, the body with virtue, the world with benevolence, and eternity with the Dao. Let kind words leave the mouth, kind deeds leave the hands, kind eyes leave the face, and kind thoughts leave the heart.
