In February 1996, he was born in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang. Due to premature birth and congenital pneumonia, he spent a long time in an incubator. Suffering from oxygen toxicity, he began his life in darkness before he could even see the vibrant world around him. Deprived of sight, sound became his entire world. As a young child, he loved tapping on various objects, listening to the crisp or muffled sounds they produced.
One day when he was three, his mother took him to a friend's house. As they entered, someone was playing the piano. The melodious tunes deeply captivated him, sounding far more beautiful than the sounds he made by tapping objects. From that moment, the seeds of music were planted in his heart. Once, while passing a piano shop, he was so enchanted by the music playing inside that he refused to leave. From then on, he frequently asked his father to take him to the shop. At first, he would just listen quietly, memorizing the melodies in his mind. Seeing his intense interest, the shop owner invited him to try playing. To everyone's surprise, he was able to play the tunes he had heard perfectly.
At the age of four, his father sent him to a music school. From then on, he practiced for six to seven hours every day. He would stay late into the evening, reluctant to leave until the shop's rolling door was about to be pulled down. His passion and perseverance moved the shop owner. Upon learning that his family had exhausted their savings on his medical treatments and could no longer afford a piano, the owner gifted him a piano. With his own instrument, and with a tape recorder and tapes provided by his father, music flowed into his heart like a river, with hundreds of melodies dancing through his fingertips.
When it came time for school, he entered the provincial school for the blind. He used all his evenings and nights to practice, often neglecting sleep. Music became the sunlight that illuminated his life and brightened his future. Seeking the best musical education for him, his father brought him to Beijing to study at the Central Conservatory of Music and enrolled him in a Beijing school for the blind.
