When others are in difficulty, we should lend a helping hand and assist those in adversity with sincerity and passion. To act with conscience without seeking rewards is the essence of true kindness.
If you remain simple, the world will treat you with simplicity.
As the ancients said: "欲胜人者,必先自胜;欲论人者,必先自论;欲知人者,必先自知。" This means that to overcome others, one must first overcome one's own weaknesses and correct errors; to evaluate others, one must first reflect on oneself; and to understand others, one must first understand oneself. Only in this way can one attain true self-awareness.
"Laughing loudly as I go out, how can we be commoners!" Many people use this verse to express an open mind and inner confidence. However, upon closer reflection, behind this spirited expression lies a certain sense of aloofness and even a hint of disdain for life.
Excessive aloofness often leads to arrogance. Such individuals tend to overvalue themselves and their talents, which often leads to failure due to negligence. In reality, many people, much like Ma Su, end up harming both themselves and others due to such excessive pride.
Life and living are never perfect; flaws and regrets are inevitable. After weathering the storms of time, we realize the preciousness of what has been lost and what has yet to be obtained. The most precious thing is to seize the present and cherish the passing years. Even when time takes its toll, we can at least tell ourselves: "I have regrets, but I have no regrets."
