It never speaks, yet it silently guides us, teaching us the principles of life and imparting vast knowledge. To me, books are the most precious treasures that enrich my leisure life. I am deeply grateful to them, for they are my best friends.
Books can cultivate the soul and serve as a ladder for human progress, offering endless joy. Through reading, I have contemplated the questions of existence and destruction, and learned that "a person is not born to be defeated; you can destroy them, but you can never defeat them."
Despite the many setbacks in life, I believe that once spring arrives, winter will soon be a memory. I have a little story to share regarding my relationship with books: in primary school, the innocent me didn't think reading was particularly useful. However, during a Chinese class in my first year of junior high, my teacher explained that reading expands our knowledge, allows us to know the world without leaving home, refines our character, and helps us find good careers. Inspired by this, I went to a bookstore and picked up a book. After finishing the first chapter, I was completely captivated by its rich content and couldn't wait to read more. This is how I finished the book and read it over and over again—it was truly something I could never tire of!
