"To travel far, one must start from nearby; to climb high, one must begin from low." This quote from the *Doctrine of the Mean* left the deepest impression on me during the class meeting. It teaches us that greatness begins with small steps and long journeys start from where we stand. Beyond climbing and traveling, we should embody this spirit in our daily studies and life.
Teacher Zhou Hua gave a wonderful presentation. I learned that success and the accumulation of experience depend entirely on one's own efforts—as the saying goes, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." In this process, We must be not only hardworking but also self-disciplined. We should handle our own affairs and avoid over-reliance on others, which can become an obstacle to our progress. Never neglect the small things; as the proverb says, "How can one govern the world if one cannot even sweep a single room?"
Not everyone must excel in Olympiad Mathematics; the key is to find what suits you best. Everyone should have a specialty, but it's not limited to math or English. It could be eloquent speech, beautiful writing, exquisite painting, or a melodious voice. Whatever fits you best is the right path.
The size of your heart determines the size of your stage, and the magnitude of your goals determines how far you can go. Do not confine yourself to a small stage; while it may be beautiful, it cannot fully showcase your brilliance. Do not settle for minor achievements; you are capable of so much more! Have more courage, have more confidence, and you will succeed! Let us march towards the stage of success with grand ambitions.
Let your mind wander in imagination! With an open mind, there will be more answers, longer paths, and wider horizons. We should open our minds to imagine and enrich ourselves, but we must never allow that openness to turn into lack of self-control in our actions.
Let self-discipline become a fundamental quality. Character is beautiful and noble, built through daily accumulation. Self-discipline is simple yet sublime, shaping us subtly over time. May this wonderful quality accompany us throughout our growth.
Let us remember this on our journey of growth: Success = Effort + Self-discipline!
