Han Han began publishing articles during middle school and was admitted to Shanghai Songjiang No. 2 High School as a student with special athletic abilities. During his first year of high school (1999), he won first prize in the First New Concept Writing Competition with his essay Viewing a Person Through a Cup. Later, his final exam results sparked widespread public discussion about quality education. His first novel, Triple Gate, sold a total of 2 million copies, making him famous almost overnight. After leaving school, Han Han continued his literary career and published essay collections including Zero Degrees, Official Draft 2003, and Drifting Along Like This, as well as novels such as Racing Like a Young Man, A Mess in Chang'an, A City, Glory Day, and His Country. In addition to writing, Han Han also explored music creation and film acting, while becoming a professional racing driver and developing his career across multiple fields.
