Although they started the climb in good spirits, by the 40th floor, fatigue had turned into resentment; they began blaming each other for failing to notice the power outage notice. They climbed to the 60th floor, too exhausted even to argue. The younger brother said, "Let's stop arguing and just finish the climb." They continued in silence and finally reached the 80th floor. However, as they stood excitedly at their doorstep, they realized their keys were still inside the bag left on the 20th floor. This story serves as a profound metaphor for life: Before the age of 20, we live under the expectations of family and teachers, carrying heavy burdens of pressure; due to immaturity, our steps are often unsteady. After 20, we attempt to shed these burdens and focus entirely on pursuing our dreams, enjoying two decades of freedom. Yet, by the age of 40, facing the passing of youth, we often fall into regret and complaint, spending twenty years in bitterness. By the age of 60, realizing life is drawing to a close, we decide to stop complaining and simply finish our remaining years in peace. Only at the end of life do we realize that our true dreams were left behind at twenty, never to be fulfilled.
