Malice exists in many forms within the human heart, but the most destructive is jealousy. Envying others' possessions and achievements and feeling hostility towards the good and kind is a shameful flaw of human nature. Hatred is also a great mistake, as it can turn goodness into evil; just as General Wu Sangui's personal desires led to the downfall of the Ming Dynasty.
