Malice exists in many forms within the human heart, but the most destructive is jealousy. Envying others' possessions and achievements and feeling hostility towards the good and kind is a shameful flaw of human nature. Hatred is also a great mistake, as it can turn goodness into evil; just as General Wu Sangui's personal desires led to the downfall of the Ming Dynasty. Jealousy is like a venomous snake; once caught in its grip, it is hard to escape.
If you love, love deeply; if you leave, leave completely. Do not linger in ambiguity, as it only wounds both parties. The greatest regret in life is giving up too easily on what should be held onto, or stubbornly clinging to what should be let go. Some losses are predestined, and some connections have no end.
