In every conversation, if you are the guest, learning to listen is more important than offering comfort. If a setback arises from a mistake, reflection is more valuable than making excuses. Every mountain is meant to be climbed; strive for it so that your perseverance and sweat are not in vain. If one can endure hardship, face setbacks, and withstand loneliness, there will be no regrets when looking back.

Success without failure is neither lasting nor brings true joy. No success is smooth sailing; those who succeed are those who use failure as a stepping stone to move toward their goals.

Whether past experiences were good or bad, they are gone. Dwelling on the past causes one to lose hope for the future, and the future is unpredictable. We should face the present with equanimity: enjoy happiness, solve difficulties, and seize opportunities.

Over time, we realize that everything and everyone will eventually become the past; do not struggle against it. Some people are destined to leave, leaving only regrets behind. The most beautiful scenery often passes by quickly, and the deepest pain leaves the most profound scars. Many things can only be experienced once, and not every relationship is meant to last.

With abundance comes scarcity: wealth may lead to less domestic peace, and beauty to less modesty; excessive thoughts lead to fewer achievements, and great achievements to shorter lives; too much study can lead to less peace of mind, and too much power to less integrity; too much toil leads to less income, and too many lovers to less sleep; too many friends can mean more troubles, while those with more laughter tend to have less illness.
