A ship is safest at the dock, but that is not the purpose of building it; a person is most comfortable at home, but that is not the pursuit of life. Life is like a flight, with first-class and economy seats available. Although everyone arrives at the same destination, the journey is entirely different. Life is also like cross-stitch embroidery; while the front may look elegant and impressive, who notices the tangled threads on the back? In fact, the meaning of life lies in our choice of how to live.
Those who are benevolent are often schemed against by petty people; those who are wise are frequently excluded by the mediocre; those who are brave are often envied by the foolish; and those who are honest are frequently attacked by the corrupt. If you feel the sky is falling with the slightest pressure, or consider yourself the most miserable person with the slightest unhappiness, this fragility often stems from being spoiled in the past, from having someone to support and strengthen you.
The only thing that remains unchanged is the pure, clean, and fragrant innocence of a lotus flower.
Sincere hearts exchange for sincere hearts; if it cannot be reciprocated, it is best to turn away. Many roads are only known for their length after walking them; many people are only known for their character after interacting with them; many emotions are only valued after experiencing love. Sincerity is precious, so do not waste it. Learn to cherish, and the bond will last.
Do not blindly envy the abundance and beauty of others' lives. Hold fast to your own position, and you will find your own happiness and freedom.
