Life is all about advancing and retreating. We should not easily reveal our inner vulnerability. Although time may stay forever young, we slowly grow older. Yet, you will find that maintaining a childlike heart is something truly worthy of pride. Instead of cursing the darkness, light a candle silently, for no one in this world can bring you light but yourself. When you succeed, everything you say is right, because people only see your glory on stage and the halo above your head. However, when you have not yet succeeded, any explanation sounds wrong, because people only believe what they see. So, work hard and bury your head in the task. Do not waste time on explanations. Without grievance, there is no growth; without setbacks, there is no success.
The way of dealing with the world lies in being decisive in matters, having a broad mind, being strict with oneself, and treating others with gentleness. It is a way of nurturing the heart, containing a touch of Zen, a bit of poetry, a stroke of painting, and a measure of ease. The foundation of standing in the world lies in being affectionate and loyal, living a flavorful life, working with style and color, and knowing when to advance and when to retreat in life.
In this world, everything is like passing clouds. Whether it is gain or loss, it is all ephemeral. Think about it: whether it is yesterday, today, or tomorrow, as long as your mind can open up clearly, it is a beautiful day. The best state in life is to not overthink. Experiencing events, meeting people—you are both choosing and being chosen. Life is short, just a few decades. Do not leave regrets. Love when it is time to love; do not suppress yourself without reason.
It is often said that men fear entering the wrong profession, and women fear marrying the wrong partner. Yet in reality, many people often stumble into their careers and choose their partners in a hazy manner. While this is somewhat unlucky and frightening, it is not the key factor that determines your entire life.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain.
