Do not rush to draw conclusions when facing a situation. Even if you have an answer, wait a moment, as there may be a better solution. Different perspectives often yield different answers, so learn to think from others' points of view. Especially when encountering troubles, learn to pause and observe. Often, not only do the problems resolve themselves, but good fortune may also follow.
In meditation, 'Shamatha' (or 'stopping') refers to the practice of calming the boiling mind and settling it into a state of ease; 'Vipassana' (or 'observing') is the process of realizing the nature or essence of the mind. Whether practicing 'stopping' or 'observing,' the most important aspect is knowing how to place the mind: relaxed, open, and unforced. In fact, we cannot fix ourselves in a state of no thought. The result of meditation is not the absence of thought, but the freedom from being disturbed by thoughts.
Time is beautiful precisely because it inevitably flows. Spring flowers, autumn moon, summer days, winter snow. If you bloom, the gentle breeze will come naturally.
Recognizing yourself is often more important than looking down on others.
Let your heart be as vast as the ocean and your mind as delicate as water.
I am simple and easily moved. If you do not love me, please do not easily stir my emotions.
Life presents many choices, and not every choice is necessarily right. If, after a period of verification, you realize your choice was wrong, you must stop immediately, analyze and adjust, and start over. It is like walking in the wrong direction; if you do not stop, you will only get further from your goal and never reach it.
Life requires more equanimity. A peaceful heart is a composed way of living and a companion to composure; restlessness and anxiety often walk together. When facing troubles, remind yourself: look up to the sky, there is a road under your feet. As long as you are not in a hurry, everything will be in time. Life is the support for all pressures and difficulties. Stay clear-headed and tell yourself: one does not need to live in a high-end, pretentious world. If not obscured by worries, this ordinary life is still worth living fully.
