On the stage of life, everyone is inevitably swept into the colorful drama of the world, playing diverse roles. Some often take on the lead, while others remain in supporting roles; some fall from leading parts to supporting ones, and others rise from the background to the spotlight. Living in this world, no one is exempt from pain, and no one has never shed a tear. However, for everyone, pain is merely a passing guest.
On the journey of life, people are busy meeting all kinds of people, believing this enriches their existence. Yet the most valuable encounter is often the moment when one meets their inner self again. Only then do you realize: traveling the world is only to find the path back to the heart. Some paths are walked with feet, while others must be walked with the heart. By treading the path you have chosen, rather than choosing the easy road, you can possess your true self.
It is often said that silence is golden. Indeed, sometimes silence is far superior to glibness, for persistent silence does not bore people. However, excessive silence is not necessarily a good thing. If one loses the interest in speaking, they also lose the opportunity to express joy and share happiness. I used to be a person of strong emotions, but I have now become calm and undisturbed, without joy, sorrow, or anger. My mind is like a still lake; I sink my heart to the bottom, laughing at the ups and downs of the world and watching the clouds rise and fall. Is this not the realm of "water in the bottle, clouds in the sky"?
If a person lives without purpose, they will feel lost, troubled, and uneasy. Only when a person truly understands what kind of life they want to live and what their pursuit is will their life feel fulfilling.
A Zen master asked: Do you think a single gold nugget is better, or a pile of mud? The seeker replied: Of course, the gold! The master smiled and said: What if you are a seed? In fact, by changing your mindset, you may find liberation.
When you are tempted to let go of something, never let go of your character. The most important thing for a person to be alive with is dignity and honor.
