In the 20th century, author Anais Nin once wrote: "Those who are immersed in life have no fear of death." Assuming you will live to be a hundred years old does not help you enjoy life. Yet, most people overlook this, pretending that their lives are infinite. Only on days of sudden inspiration do we plan grand endeavors, entrusting our goals and dreams to the vast ocean that Dennis Waitley calls "Illusion Island." In reality, facing death does not necessarily have to wait until the final moments when life is exhausted. In fact, if we can vividly imagine our dying moments, it paradoxically generates a sense of regeneration, which is the first step in reshaping the self.
