Everyone aspires to success, yet the path to achieving it is often long and arduous. What, then, supports us through this journey? The answer lies in persistence.

Persistence is the cane that helps us climb the peak of success.

No matter what difficulties we face, we must never give up. Success may be waiting just around the next corner. Even if we hold only a tiny, insignificant seed, under the inspiration of persistent belief, it can grow into a towering tree.

Consider this inspiring story: French journalist Jean-Dominique Bauby suffered a heart attack that left him paralyzed and unable to speak. The only part of his body he could move was his left eye. However, before his illness, he had already conceived a work, and he was determined to complete and publish it. The publisher assigned a stenographer named Médiabot as his assistant, who worked six hours a day to transcribe his writing.

Since Bauby could only blink, he communicated with Médiabot solely by blinking his left eye. Their method was simple: Médiabot would read out common French letters in order, and Bauby would blink to select the correct ones. Consequently, Bauby relied heavily on memory to determine words, which frequently led to errors. Initially, they faced numerous obstacles, and progress was incredibly slow, with only one page recorded per day at most. Eventually, this increased to three pages. After months of grueling effort, they finally completed the book. Titled "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly," the work consisted of 150 pages. Estimates suggest that Bauby blinked his left eye over 200,000 times to write this book.

If a person remains persistent in their pursuit, there is nothing in this world they cannot achieve. What we perceive as miracles are often just the results of others' diligent labor and effort, day after day, year after year. Under any circumstances, we must not give up; as long as we persist, there is always hope for success.
