On the journey of life, many people carry too much baggage, much of which is entirely unnecessary. Try to put down those so-called problems and worries. Slow down, relax, and take a moment to reflect. Do not rush to boil all the food at once in a pressure cooker; cook one dish at a time. It is best to overcome one obstacle at a time.
There is no job in this world that is not demanding. Life is a process of cultivation. Why torment yourself with an unsettled heart and hurt the passage of time? In life, it is helpful to cultivate the habit of thinking: "Having it is great; not having it is also okay." This perspective allows you to turn suffering into joy. To live is to practice.
Sometimes, for no apparent reason, we feel down, not wanting to speak to anyone, but only wishing to sit quietly and zone out. Sometimes, in the dead of night, it is not that we cannot sleep, but that we stubbornly refuse to. Sometimes, hearing a song suddenly brings a person to mind. Sometimes, when someone suddenly tells us they think we have changed, a whirlwind of emotions takes over. The self that has been lost can only be slowly picked up again.
The direction of tears determines the direction of your life: If tears flow back inward, they accumulate strength for the heart, giving you a more profound sense of belief. If tears flow outward in begging, the reward you receive will eventually be blocked and disappointing. If tears flow out of being moved, the left bank of life is destined to be warm and gentle, with a heart full of kindness. People with self-control have tears that possess the power to travel a thousand miles. Following the channel opened by these tears, one day you will reach the sea.
Life is a vast river. What we need to do is to enjoy the journey in this river of life, flowing with the current, rather than exhausting ourselves trying to force the river to flow in the way we want. You cannot reach a joyful destination through a journey devoid of joy.
