Do not obsess over gains or losses, nor compare what you have with what others possess.
When you have six apples, do not eat them all. Share five of them with others. On the surface, you may have lost five apples, but in reality, you have gained the friendship of five people. When others have fruit to offer, they will likely share with you in return. You might receive an orange from one person and a pear from another, eventually acquiring six different types of fruit and the friendship of six people. Knowing when to let go is a form of wisdom.
Avoid harboring resentment or being defeated by setbacks. Whether it is fortune or misfortune, face it with composure; whether good or bad, it will pass. Beautiful memories accompany us through life's storms, leaving marks in the flow of time. These memories warm the present and nourish the future. In life, we must be able to pick things up and, just as importantly, let them go. Believe that the time slipping away quietly may age our appearance but enriches our lives. Believe that the value of youth lies not in the years themselves, but in the heart filled with courage and passion—a heart that is not afraid to be hurt, to give, to love, or to dream.
Passion can compensate for a 20% deficiency in ability. Harvard psychology professor Roy points out that passion is a spiritual trait representing positive mental power. Research shows that passion can make up for 20% of a person's capability gaps; conversely, without passion, one can only utilize 50% of their potential. Although everyone expresses passion differently, it is a universal trait. When properly harnessed, it can transform into enormous energy.
Life can sometimes be difficult, but always hold your head high. What you try to escape may not be avoided, and what you face may not be the hardest part. Loneliness does not necessarily mean unhappiness, and what you gain may not last forever, just as what you lose may not be gone for good. You might be sad for a reason, but you can always find a reason to be happy. The higher you climb, the more grounded your heart should be. Only with a steady heart can you walk the path with stability.
