Friendship and respect are the foundation of unity among siblings. If one cannot be loving and united with their own brothers and sisters, how can they possibly expect to love and unite with others?
Therefore, in life, we should practice the following: 'Wu Yi' (do not assume) — do not rely solely on subjective imagination; break free from delusions and see the true nature of things. 'Wu Bi' (do not be certain) — life is unpredictable, and nothing is guaranteed to happen as foreseen. Relax, do your best, and act with integrity. 'Wu Gu' (do not be rigid) — leave some room for flexibility to avoid extremes. 'Wu Wo' (do not be self-centered) — set aside the ego, judge matters on their merits, and people by their actions.
The reason why steadfast love and loyal courage exist in the world is largely because time is short, allowing such sentiments to be sustained. As the saying goes, 'A sickbed for a long time has no filial son'; it is difficult to maintain care over a long period. The beauty of all things often lies in the fact that there is 'no time for them to turn bad.'
Whether familiar or strangers, everyone has their own goals and directions. Some may be searching for a childhood lack or a future hope. Some run with great enthusiasm, while others take a break and then resume the journey. Some stop to face the strangeness of everything. On the road of life, one will catch up with some, surpass others, sometimes run alongside others, and at other times, run alone.
The goal of life lies in moving forward and also in turning corners. What passes by is scenery; what can be remembered is happiness. When looking back after going a long way, people realize that parting makes things precious, and pain brings clarity. What you give is what you get. Blaming others tortures oneself; envying others degrades oneself; admiring others wastes oneself; resenting others harms oneself.
