A farm was home to many animals. Among them was a picky little pony that was never satisfied with the food provided by the farmer. Driven by curiosity, it decided to wander around to see what other animals were eating.
It soon spotted several chickens eating happily. Upon closer inspection, it saw they were eating grain. The pony took a bite but immediately spat it out, saying, "It has no taste and it's scratchy; it's not delicious at all!" and walked away.
Shortly after, it saw a dog gnawing contentedly on a bone and a cat tearing at a fish while singing a song. These foods frightened the pony; the smell was so unpleasant it felt like vomiting. It quickly scurried away.
After walking for a while, the pony felt thirsty and approached a pond. There, it saw two ducks fighting over an earthworm. The worm was stretched thin and long before finally snapping in two. The ducks greedily swallowed their respective halves and continued searching. Witnessing this "cruel" scene, the pony, too startled to even drink water, ran away, crying, "How terrifying!"
After a long trek, the pony realized that nothing it had seen was to its liking; some things even made it feel nauseous. When the hungry pony finally returned to its stable, it realized that the fodder prepared by its owner was actually its most favorite and delicious meal.
