I am a student in the E-commerce class of 2010 in the Department of Economics and Management. I come from a remote and impoverished rural area. Having entered Chaoshan Vocational and Technical College with a dream of learning, I have spent my first year here. Over the past year, thanks to the support from school leaders and national sponsorship programs, I have been able to continue my studies and pursue my dreams. Because of this, I successfully completed my freshman year, making it a fulfilling and memorable experience. With the care and assistance of the school administration, I am able to focus on my studies, Striving to be a helpful and kind person to my classmates and a respectful, dedicated assistant to my teachers.
In recent years, due to adverse weather conditions and rising prices, our family's crops have repeatedly failed, making our financial situation increasingly difficult. Now that my parents are aging and physically weak, suffering from chronic illnesses—especially my mother and grandfather—who are constantly plagued by pain and dependent on medication, the burden of the household falls almost entirely on my father. To enable me to attend school, my parents have worked tirelessly day and night, yet their income only barely covers the basic necessities of life. This year, a drought prevented crops from growing properly, leaving our primary income source, the meager earnings from our small farmland, insufficient. Living in a remote village with poor transportation and few merchants, our agricultural products are often unsold or sold at very low prices, while urban prices remain high, creating a double burden for our poor family.
This year, my grandfather's and my mother's health has deteriorated further, particularly my grandfather's critical condition. Faced with the high costs of tuition and living expenses, the family burden is too heavy to sustain. I respectfully request financial aid from the school and relevant departments to help me overcome these difficulties, allowing me to continue my studies with peace of mind and strive to repay the school and society with outstanding performance.
